All safety precautions are in place for your care at the Nuffield hospital Exeter. A qualified nurse will always be present at your side to take care of any needs you may have, be that just giving you a blanket or a drink of water or chatting to put you at ease. The procedure involves an injection into the toe to ensure that it is numb and the surgery lasts around one hour. After the procedure you will be offered a drink and asked to wait for approximately fifteen minutes with your foot elevated.
